A couple of seasons ago, I used 20 second timeout to list my favorite road songs since we were about to embark on the 2011 Rodeo Road trip.

During that trip, I figured I'd write my own road song (we do have some down time between games) so I brought my guitar and wrote "8900 Miles". I sent the song to my good friend Stephen Doster, a huge Spurs fan and top notch music producer. He encouraged me to come into his studio and record it. Another friend, Rod Henegar, came to the session with his video camera and produced the video. I caught some ribbing from some traveling media members (mainly Carter Snowden from Spurs TV) but during the rest of the season, Carter would be singing the song out loud on the media bus. He then encouraged me to write another song for this season's rodeo trip. All i needed was a little nudge.

So here is "Adios Auf Wiedersehen". Once again, Rod Henegar from 44 Productions put together the video and Stephen Doster from EAR Studios produced the song (and provided the tasty guitar licks). This tune was written with the Spurs' international roster in mind. There are so many ways to say goodbye!

Special thanks to drummer Doug Robb, bassist James Stevens, and keyboard wiz Nic Whitworth for their contributions. On the day of the session, guitarist Mike Vasquez was ill and couldn't make it, but was certainly there in spirit. I am blessed to have such talented friends. I hope you like the song. So until later this month when the Spurs return home...Adios, Auf Wiedersehen!
