  Traffic has been disrupted on Loop 1604 after a man lept from the Green Mountain Road overpass onto the westbound lane of 1604 and was run over by an 18 wheeler and several other vehicles, 1200 WOAI news reports.

  Police say the man was sitting on the railing over the overpass at about 7AM when police approached him to ask him what he was doing.

  Officers say the man lept off the overpass onto Loop 1604 and was immediately run over by the 18 wheeler.  The man was reported dead at the scene.

  The section of the highway has been closed.

  No word why the man jumped.
