Triple Shooting Leaves One Dead, Two Hurt

Police are searching for a man who shot three people on the city's south side overnight, killing one and wounding two others, 1200 WOAI news reports.

 

  Police say the gunfire erupted in the 800 block of West Harlan, which is near West Southcross and Interstate 35, about midnight.

 

  Investigators say the man got involved in an argument with his mother's boyfriend.  The argument escalated until the young man pulled a gun and started shooting wildly.

 

  The mother's boyfriend was shot and killed, and then the young man opened fire on a car containing two of the victim's friends.

 

  The two men in the car were shot has they tried to drive away.  They managed to get as far as Roosevelt and East Southcross where their car crashed.

 

  They were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.  The gunman remains at large.
