  A report of a 'foul odor' led police to a grisly discovery on the south side early this morning.

 

 1200 WOAI news reports that police who arrived at a vacant lot in the 600 block of Carroll, which is just off Zarzamora and Nogolitos, found the decomposing body of a half naked woman stuffed into some bushes.

 

  Police say the body was so degraded they couldn't immediately say what killed her, but it is being treated as a homicide.

 

  The woman was wearing a top but nothing below her waist.  They say she had been dead, in this stifling heat, for 'at last three days.'

 

  The woman has not yet been identified, and police are looking through missing persons reports.
