elderly woman died when she was hit while riding in her motorized wheelchair
Two females died in two separate accidents in San Antonio overnight, 1200 WOAI news reports.
Around 9:30 Monday night, an elderly woman in a motorized wheelchair was hit by an SUV as she rolled down Fredericksburg Road near Santa Ana Street on the near northwest side.
Police say the woman had just left a nearby BINGO hall and was rolling out into the darkened street when she was hit. The driver stopped to render aid and is not facing any charges.
A little bit later, a woman lost control of her pickup near I-37 and Military Drive on the city's southeast side.
The vehicle rolled over, and a ten year old girl who was in the pickup died at the scene. Another person was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, police and the medical examiner's office said.
