San Antonio River To Be Dyed Green For St. Patrick's Day

The San Antonio River at the River Walk will be dyed green on for St. Patrick's Day festivities. The Dyeing of the River Green will take place on March 16th from 11 a.m. to noon along Museum Reach, and from 1 to 3 p.m. downtown. On St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, the downtown stretch will be dyed again from 1 to 3 p.m. St. Patrick's Day celebrations that weekend include a festival and two parades. The eco-friendly dye is dispensed behind a barge with a bagpiper on board. The river has been dyed green every year since 1968.
