A security robot is coming soon to San Antonio International Airport. San Antonio City Council voted 7-to-3 on Thursday to lease the robot from California-based Knightscope. The lease totals 109-thousand-dollars over five-years. The 5-foot-5, 420-pound droid will respond when opened doors set off alarms in a secure area of the airport. The 24-7 self-charging robot can record and stream HD video, recognize license plates, and use two-way communications. It may be in place at the airport within a month.
