Samsung's new manufacturing facility in Taylor may not start mass production of semiconductor chips until 2025. Samsung announced its plan to build the $17 billion plant just over two years ago in Taylor, and said production would begin in the first half of 2024. A spokesperson for Samsung says it now looks like the plant will be operational by about a year from now, but couldn't comment on when mass production would begin. The huge plant is bringing about two-thousand jobs to a town of 17,000 people.
