Texans Claim Eagles Pass Rusher Derek Barnett

The Texans have claimed a premier pass rusher off waivers. Houston was awarded Derek Barnett after he was waived by the Eagles on Friday. The defensive end was originally selected by Philadelphia 14th overall in the 2017 draft out of Tennessee. He tallied 21-and-half career sacks in 73 games with Philly. Barnett also racked up 37 tackles for loss and 76 quarterback hits over five seasons. He tore his ACL in Week One last year, and has played just 20-percent of Philadelphia's defensive snaps this season. The Texans will host the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
