Texas Parks and Wildlife To Stock San Antonio Area Ponds With Trout

Texas Parks and Wildlife is starting to stock ponds, lakes, and rivers with rainbow trout for the winter. Starting Wednesday and continuing through March 1st, the agency plans to release more than 343-thousand rainbow trout into Texas bodies of water, including four in the San Antonio area. The Bexar County locations include Earl Scott Pond, Live Oak City, Miller's Pond, and Southside Lions Park. Several hundred to several thousand trout will be placed in these ponds at various times between now and February.
