An amended bill to build another 50 miles of border wall is on its way back to the Texas Senate after being passed by the House. On Tuesday night, the House passed the proposal to spend more than a billion-and-a-half dollars on the border barrier. The House amendment would allow some of the funding to help local governments pay the increased costs of enforcing proposed penalties for illegal border crossing. The Senate will now accept or reject the House's changes to the bill.
