Texans will vote on 14 constitutional amendments placed on the November 7th ballot by state lawmakers. Included are amendments that would fund higher education, water infrastructure, gas-fueled power plants, broadband infrastructure, and state parks. Other amendments would grant cost-of-living raises to retired teachers, raise the homestead exemption from 40-thousand-dollars to 100-thousand, ban lawmakers from levying wealth taxes without voter approval, and raise the mandatory retirement age for state judges.
