Border Patrol Seizes Ammo Hidden In Vehicle At Del Rio Border Crossing

The Border Patrol is reporting the seizure of more than 13,000 rounds of ammunition at the Del Rio port of entry last week. Officers inspected a 1992 Ford cargo van that was about to cross the Del Rio International Bridge to Mexico. The agents found 13,440 rounds of ammunition of various calibers in ammo boxes that were hidden in trash cans in the van and its trailer. Homeland Security is conducting a further investigation.
