Rangers Extend Winning Streak With Win Over Athletics

The Rangers picked up their eighth straight win with a 6-1 victory over the Athletics at the Oakland Coliseum. Rangers starter Max Scherzer earned his 11th win of the season after striking out six and allowing one earned run through seven innings. Corey Seager led Texas at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored. The Rangers are sitting atop the AL West at 68-and-46. Left-hander Jordan Montgomery will start the series finale against Oakland this afternoon.
