Discarded fireworks may be to blame for a fire that damaged two homes on the west side early this morning. It happened in a neighborhood off Knobsby Way near Miltary Drive. Firefighters say there was evidence of discarded fireworks in a trashcan in a garage where the fire began. The blaze spread to a home next door, damaging both houses. Four adults and three children were able to get out without any injuries.
