The Houston Texans are being disciplined for a salary cap reporting violation.

The league announced the Texans will forfeit their original fifth-round selection in the NFL Draft and have been fined $175,000.

The NFL says pursuant to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, any team must report player compensation and benefits. Following a review, the NFL determined the club had provided quarterback Deshaun Watson with undisclosed compensation in the form of a membership at an alternative athletic facility in 2020.
