Eighteen people are expressing an interest in being the temporary replacement for San Antonio City Councilman Clayton Perry. The District 10 councilman is on a leave of absence after being involved in a hit-and-run crash on November 6th, which police say may also have included a DWI. Perry hasn't resigned and could return anytime during the six months left in his term, but the city council plans to choose a temporary replacement by December 1st. People who applied by Monday's 5 p.m. deadline include a former council member, a couple of unsuccessful candidates, and a bicycling advocate.
