Netflix is moving toward launching a cheaper ad-supported plan later this year. The streaming giant reported a subscriber loss for the first quarter and forecast a decline of two-million subscribers for the current quarter. The New York Times reports Netflix told employees it has a target date of the fourth quarter of this year to launch the ad-supported tier to its subscription options. There are no details on how much the new tier would cost or how it'll be presented. Netflix is also looking into ways to collect money from over 100-million households that share passwords to stream without paying for it.
