The Texas Education Agency is expanding its Teacher Vacancy Task Force in an attempt to address the statewide staffing shortage. TEA says more people are being added to the task force in order to make sure there is equal representation of teachers and administrators. According to KVUE, before Tuesday there were only two teachers on the task force with more than two-dozen members. Education Commissioner Mike Morath says adding more teachers "strengthens the task force and includes more perspectives" as the state works to solve the staffing issues.
