The San Antonio ISD is spending about $75,000 on 250-thousand five-layer KN95 masks. The massive purchase is the district's latest step in trying to keep its staff and students safe from the pandemic. Earlier efforts have included mask mandates, promotion and availability of coronavirus testing, and encouraging vaccines for staff, students, and family members. SAISD has also placed air purifiers in classrooms and updated air filtration systems in campus buildings.
