CPS Energy is conducting a series of town hall meetings to hear from its customers about the utility's recent request for a rate increase. The first of the live tele-town halls was held on Tuesday evening. On December 1st, CPS presented a rate hike request to the City Council for the first time since 2013. If the request is granted, CPS says customers would pay an average of just over five-dollars a month more. Customers participating in CPS Energy's Affordability Discount Program wouldn't be affected.
