Punishment Phase Recessed Until Monday In McKane Capital Murder Trial

The sentencing phase is recessed till Monday in the trial of a man found guilty of capital murder in the ambush killing of a police detective. A San Antonio jury convicted Otis McKane on Monday of the fatal shooting of Detective Benjamin Marconi in 2016. On Wednesday, prosecutors wanted to show pictures of the crime scene found in McKane's cell phone. The defense objected, saying they hadn't seen the pictures. The judge recessed the trial to give the defense time to review the phone's contents. McKane faces the death penalty. The trial resumes Monday morning at 9 a.m.
