Tropical Storm Claudette is spreading heavy rain and the threat of tornadoes as it moves eastward from Mississippi. The storm made landfall in Louisiana this morning with top winds of 45 miles per hour. Along with flash flooding, Claudette is blamed for at least one tornado touch down in southern Alabama. Several homes in the town of Brewton about 60 miles north of Pensacola, Florida were destroyed by a twister. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect from the Mississippi-Alabama border to Okaloosa-Walton County Line in Florida.
