Tropical System Organizes In The Gulf

The National Hurricane Center is issuing a Tropical Storm Warning ahead of a system that is anticipated to develop and strike the Gulf Coast. The warning extends from Intercoastal City, Louisiana all the way to the Alabama-Florida State line. The system, which is currently being called a "potential tropical cyclone" is still sitting deep in the Gulf of Mexico, but is expected to strike the U.S. sometime Saturday. Much of the south could face gusty winds and heavy rains as the storm moves through, and some areas near the coast could see one to three feet of surge.
