Supreme Court Refuses To Hear TX Lawsuit Against California Travel Ban

The U.S. Supreme Court is rejecting Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's challenge to a California ban on state-funded travel to Texas. The California law prevents state agencies, public universities, and boards from funding business trips to states with what it calls "discriminatory" laws. Texas got on the list in 2017 by passing a religious-refusal law for adoptions. The high court on Monday declined to hear Paxton's challenge, and gave no reason. Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas dissented.
