Feds Launch 'Operation Undaunted' To Stamp Out Violent Crime In Texas

Federal officials are launching "Operation Undaunted" in an effort to stamp out violent crime in Texas. U.S. Attorney Gregg Sofer gathered with a group of federal, state and local law enforcement officers to announce the plan on Friday. It includes using ballistic evidence to link crime scenes to suspects, removing repeat offenders, calling for prosecution of the most violent cases, and prosecuting violent crimes on military bases. The federal move is in response to recent increases in the numbers of violent crimes in Houston, Austin, and DFW.
