Local School Districts Make Election Day A Holiday For Health Reasons

Several local school districts are closing their campuses on Election Day, because they're being used as voting sites. More than 150 schools will be polling places on Tuesday, and districts will close them in order to reduce the possibility of exposing students and staff to the coronavirus. Schools will be closed in the East Central, Harlandale, Judson, Northside, North East, San Antonio, and Southwest school districts. The South San ISD will observe a student holiday on Tuesday instead of the Battle of Flowers holiday on Friday, November 13th.
