The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says Texas is among the states with the highest amount of flu activity. The report classifies Texas' flu activity level as "widespread." Dallas County saw its third death related to the flu this season earlier this week when a 79 year old died. This follows the deaths of a Dallas woman who was 36 and a Grand Prairie woman who was 81, who both dies of flu-related causes. The county's health and human services director, Dr. Philip Huang, says this amount of activity this early in the flu season is the highest its been.
