As Gas Prices Spike, San Antonio Gas is Among the Cheapest in the Country

Here's another reason to love San Antonio.

1200 WOAI reports AAA Texas lists San Antonio gasoline prices as the lowest in Texas, and among the lowest in the USA.

This comes at a time of spiraling gas prices nationwide, as the price of oil is at four year highs.  West Texas crude spiked to nearly $67 on President Trump's threat to use U.S. missiles to punish Syria for a poison gas attack.

San Antonio gas prices are holding steady at $2.32 a gallon.

The statewide average today is $2.45, and nationally, the price of gas is $2.67, surpassing the high for the year in 2017, and its not even mid April yet.

Midland drivers are paying $2.69, the highest price in Texas.

In California, motorists are paying between $3.50 and $3.70 a gallon, thanks largely to a recently enacted gas tax hike.

While prices are skyrocketing across the country, the experts expect prices in San Antonio, barring a full-scale war in the Middle East, not to rise above the $2.60 to $2.70 range this coming summer.
