One person had to be treated for smoke inhalation in a smoky fire at an apartment complex right across the street from Churchill High School early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Firefighters were called to the 11000 block of Parliament about 4AM and found heavy smoke centered on one apartment.
All residents of the complex had to evacuate into the cold January morning as fire crews went through the building putting out hot spots.
No word on a cause of the fire. Arson investigators are on the scene. Major damage was confined to the one apartment.
