A 35 year old man is in critical condition with multiple injuries after he was run over as he tried to dash across a darkened north side street overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the man was trying to cross Woodstone Street near Vance Jackson.. The street is dark im that area at night and the man was crossing away from the crosswalk.
The man was hit by a car traveling eastbound on Woodstone.. The driver didn't stop and turned onto Vance Jackson and then onto Loop 1604, according to witnesses.
Police say they believe the driver knew he had struck a pedestrian.
