Police Release Sketch of Hardberger Park Sex Assault Suspect

Police today released a sketch of a man they say is the infamous Hardberger Park Rapist, who is accused of dragging a jogger off a trail on September 12th and violently sexually assaulted her, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

"Detectives right now are following every lead in this case," Chief Bill McManus said.  "Hopefully whoever may see this picture may come forward with information on the identity of this person."

Police say the sketch portrays an Anglo man in his late twenties with a scar on his chin, and a cauliflower ear with a piercing in his left ear.

McManus says this case is being taken very seriously by detectives.

"We have additional coverage at Hardberger Park because of this," he said.  "We have had no further reports of incidents at the park since this day."

McManus says there is no indication that this suspect has committed any other crimes in the past three weeks since the attack.

If you can identify this person, please call police.
