A 33 year old man has died after he was shot by his own father overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were called to the 2400 block of Marilyn Way, which is off Callaghan Road inside Loop 410, late Tuesday night on a report of gunfire.
When they arrived, several people in the house told them the man in his sixties had an argument with his son, and pulled a gun and shot the son in the chest.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital with no pulse and no vital signs. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police were questioning the father and witnesses overnight to determine whether charges should be filed, or whether the shooting was a case of self defense.
