A Texas lawmaker is fed up with people using the Chilean flag emoji as a substitute for the Texas state flag. So state Representative Tom Oliverson has filed legislation urging Texans "not to use the Republic of Chile flag emoji in digital forums when referring to the Lone Star Flag of the Great State of Texas." House Concurrent Resolution 75 says the Texas legislature rejects the notion "that the Chilean flag, while it's a nice flag, can in any way compare or be substituted for" the Texas flag. The flags look similar in emoji form, and there is apparently no emoji for the Lone Star flag.
