West Side Barfight Ends With Woman Robbed, Two Men Shot

Two men who were apparently upset that a woman rebuffed their advances in a west side bar at closing time this morning ended up slashing the woman's tires, robbing her, and beating and shooting a man who came to her rescue, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.I

t began about 2:30 Thursday morning in a bar at Southwest 36th Street and Highway 90.Police say the angry men went into the parking lot and slashed the tires on the woman's car when she rejected their advances.

The man then beat up a man in the parking lot who tried to help the woman.The woman left and went to a Valero station on Enrique Barrera Parkway to try to get her tires fixed.  

The men followed her, along with the man who had been beaten up.That's where the altercation resumed, and this time the men shot the 30 year old man in the back. 

 He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.Police say the men then stole the woman's purse and cell phone and sped away.

A second man turned up shot near the same area, and police are trying to decide if the incidents are related.
